We can teach accountancy or architecture, plumbing or plastering, in fact almost any trade or profession, but there is one notable exception... Nothing can prepare us for what it's like to sit in the boss’s chair. That day when we are surrounded by people who look to us for all the answers. That day when we can no longer kick a problem upstairs, for now, we are the upstairs.

Loneliness is not a lack of people to talk to, it's a lack of people who understand, people who have been there.

The Lonely Seat is a place to meet, to chat, to give an arm around or receive an arm around.

It is a place to share ideas, to give and get support, or simply to chat with like-minded people who are not looking to sell their services.

The Lonely Seat: because the boss... especially the boss, needs someone too.

If business was easy, everybody would have one.
